Wise Craft Handmade

website / shop / blog

Blair, I love patchwork. Here at Wise Craft Handmade, my passion for quilt making is simple- those special fabrics and cherished scraps we hold on to, waiting to use in just the right project? I design modern patchwork quilts with them. The coveted, vintage, and important fabrics (plus the stories they hold) are what inspire me most.

Kelly Cole, I love to collect and sew with vintage fabrics.
I have been sewing and playing with fabric since I was a young girl learning to sew on a 1960’s teal blue Singer sewing machine. I have also been a thrift store fanatic most my life; it all started with my mom bringing me along on her garage sale and thrift store adventures. Those experiences planted the seeds for Vintage Fabric Studio today.

It’s a Zizza / Carrie

website

I descend from a long line of quilters, sewers and artists. My paternal grandmother embroidered and quilted, my maternal grandmother crocheted, my mom and aunts sewed all their clothes including suits for themselves and their husbands, and three of my uncles were art directors for various advertising companies in NYC. I am humbled to be able to carry on the family creative tradition.

Corinne Sovey

website / shop / blog

Corinne  I have been quilting for almost a decade. I grew up the daughter of a quilter and have always had crafting in my blood. I’m a fan of both modern and traditional quilts, and like seeing how the two styles can work together. I often refer to my style as “Graphic Quilting” because I like bold, graphic shapes and bright colors.

Tina  My interest in making art quilts was jump-started by seeing my dear friend Sara take a variety of patterned fabrics, cut them into pieces and combine them in such an artistic way. I took to quilting quickly. One of the great thrills with this art form is that my options are as infinite as those of a painter working on canvas — landscapes, portraits, geometric patterns, abstract impressions, etc.

Sew Kind of Wonderful

website / shop / blog

Jenny made her first quilt in 2002 and fell in love with the quilting process!  Jenny is married with 6 children and lives in Everett, WA and some of her favorite things to do besides quilting are, spending time with her family, anything to do with home decor and working out at the gym.

Helen admits to a little craziness when it comes to things she loves! Some of her loves include 51 recipe books, 64 pairs of shoes (and counting), 5 kids, 2 adorable grandchildren, 7 sewing machines, bolts and bolts of fabric and 100s of fat quarters, and 1 very supportive hubby!

I’m Joanne Kerton and I was bitten by the quilting bug almost 20 years ago, paper piecing and hand quilting my first quilt over the course of a year and a half. My speed has improved since then, though enjoying the process ranks higher than speed in my book!

Everyday Stitches

Trisch Price of Hadley Street Quilts started quilting in the early 1990s when she was getting overwhelmed by the hi-tech industry taking over her life and was looking for something a little slower. She has been designing and making quilts ever since.

Jenifer Dick of 42 Quilts has been making quilts since 1993, when on a whim, she signed up for a beginning quilt making class at a Kansas City-area quilt shop. From that first stitch, she was hooked! Since then she has been making award winning quilts and writing patterns.
